I start watching for the mountain tops to appear, I start counting the miles between towns; town where, in high school, I used to visit for sports. And when we get to Pueblo, CO I always say, "Take this exit. It's a shortcut." And then the last 30 miles from "home" I cannot get my foot to ease up on the accelerator. My heart does flips to see Mom and Dad, now 83 and 84, come out the front door to greet me! They walk a little slower now, but the hugs are still the best ever!
